Drifting Apart

Originally a submission for GMTK Game Jam 2023.

Inspired by the physics controls from Getting Over It, but generally more calming and floaty. Although if you smash the bottle, you have to start over, so it's up to you how calm you'll be!

A game about reconnection and untold stories. The bottle is fragile, the message within even more... Can you deliver it without smashing it? (If you're not sure how: try clicking and dragging.)

• Polished game visuals
• Added a controls indicator (mini tutorial)
• Added breaking VFX and SFX for the bottle and making it clearer that the player lost in general
• Added wind particles
• Fixed jittery screen transitions
• Fixed wind sound cutting off on mild input spam
• Fixed the background sound loop getting muted too early
• Fixed input bugs on high refresh rates
• Fixed being able to win if you threw the bottle under or over the finish
• Try winning a bunch :)

Next on the list:

• Adding an in-game timer
• Adding more area's to the game and increasing game size in general
  
• Implementing a spawn point system to compliment multiple large area's
